Background: The Clinic offers hope to those in need of medical help by serving the low-income population providing quality compassionate health care. The volunteer, Christian-based health clinic is a safety net for those who fall through the cracks of the traditional health care system. The organization provides access to those in need, including the working poor and those with low paying jobs and no benefits. Specifically, the clinic provides medical, dental services and professional counseling that utilizes over 100 professionals and volunteers from more than 30 congregations in the Seattle area. Northwest hospital provides needed laboratory tests and X-rays.

Profile: Destin, youth with a chronic disease in need of immediate care. Insurance was cancelled after his dad was laid off following cuts at the Seattle School District.
